How did you meet Mom, Dad? Little Felix asked.

“She was my law school classmate!” Factual answer came from the father.

“Hm, I thought you flew to the sky, found an angel and asked her to come home with you!”

A millionaire birthday gift

Tuesday, July 19th, 2011

Three teenagers - two girls and a boy - were celebrating their birthday in a McDonald resto.

Going Dutch!

They did not share exactly the same birthday - but theirs ranged in a week.

“What did you get for your birthday gift?”

One of the girl - the serious [or looked like the most serious one] answered promptly, “A dictionary!”

“What kind of dictionary?” Almost in unison, the other two asked.

“The Longman Dictionary! The new edition of it!”

“Ha? The British one? I thought you are learning American English!”

“Well, the British invented the language!”, come an factual outrageous defense.

“What did you get for your birthday?”, the question then directed to the second girl.

“A tennis racquet!”

“Oh, we do not know that you are now playing tennis!”

She was great in skateboarding, the others knew for sure.

“I’m not, my father is  … So, I think he bought me a racquet so that he could have a spare one.

He  can always  borrow my racquet!”

“Or … parenting speaking: it is the way to ask you to play tennis with him!”

The only boy gave his mature comment.

“And you … what did you get for your birthday!”

The boy took a deep breath,

“A fifteen-story building [in the central business district] with my name on it!”

“Do you want to trade your birthday gift with mine?”
